This is a fact: Someone somewhere is paid to sum up the plots of two- or three- hour movies in one sentence. Sometimes the description is right on, and sometimes it's a little, well, off. Either way, it can be quite amusing.

With that in mind, the premise of this blog is simple. A new post every day will feature the description of a movie (sans the actors' names) straight from the cable guide.

You get to try to guess the movie.

Some will be new, some old, some will be blockbusters, others a bit more obscure.

So test your film (and cable guide) knowledge with the inaugural challenge:
